:: Gas Buy-Down Previous Events ::

A Gas Buy-Down is where Victory Life Center pumps the gas, cleans the car windows, and gives each customer .25 for each gallon of gas they purchase. It is a way for our church to reach out to the community and share God's love and to give hope. Along with giving people a few bucks we are able to encourage individuals and pray for those who need prayer. We even are able to share the Gospel with some of the people and have seen individuals be born again. We also give out Free Bibles.

At one of our Buy-Downs one of our volunteers asked a gentleman what was the greatest thing that happened to him. He said, "I did not kill myself last night." Our volunteer was able to share the love of God with the man and give him hope. Praise God that the Gospel can be shared even at a gas station.

Because of our Gas Buy-Downs we have some people who are now attending church. One of these individuals could not wait to volunteer at a Gas Buy-Down. She has a powerful testimony of how God touched her life because of getting gas at one of our Buy-Downs. She was able to share her testimony at our last outreach. She became born again, got baptized, is in our leadership classes, and has seen others come to Christ because of her testimony.

At each event we had church members helping from a variety of races (Asian, Hispanic, African-American, Native Indian, East Indian, Fijian, Filipino, and Caucasian) to reflect the mulitcultural flavor of our church and our community. Praise God that we are a church without walls and that reaches beyond the church walls.
